"Travel Woes", that's the title of my presentation later today for SC111 - Professional Communications: Strategies & Skills. Out of the 5 given types of presentation, I've decided to go for "Using Voices" category. Basically what it requires of me is to use my voice to tell a story or description of some sort. By clever use of intonations, accent and pronounciation, I'm suppose to articulate effectively a short 5 min presentation that will capture my audience.
Wrecked my brains over the whole weekend and decided upon "Travel Woes". The content is secondary in this speech assessment, hence I'm gonna go stand-up comedy style. Not quite my forte, cos I'm more of a spontaneous funnyman. Jokes ain't my cup of tea, but I'll try it all the same. I'm going to be blabbering about..
1) Buying a bag from a transexual in Bangkok
2) Parents turning their kids into orang utans in Seoul Zoo
3) Indian security guard in Genting Casino
4) NZ Airlines Air Stewardess
Of which, only the first incident is true and the rest are made up. Hmm.. so how convincing and successful will I be later? I don't know man. Haha. *gulp*
I've uploaded my powerpoint slides on my NTU webspace, so you can take a preview here. But I doubt you're gonna make any sense of it, cos I'm going minimal on this presentation.
